Booking systems, availability calendars and appointment scheduling – with confirmations, reminders and Google Calendar sync. Booking looks simple until you start handling overlaps, capacity, opening hours, holidays and cancellations.
Where it usually breaks
With two people clicking the same free slot in the same second. With services of different durations, where free windows must be computed dynamically. With several locations or resources at once. And with last-minute changes, where both customer and staff need to be informed without anyone making a phone call.
What the system covers
- Capacity, opening hours, holidays, breaks and blocked slots.
- Different service durations and preparation time between bookings.
- Locking a slot during checkout so nobody else can take it.
- Confirmations and reminders by email or SMS, including cancellations and moves.
- Two-way Google Calendar sync for staff.
The operational side
The staff interface matters as much as the booking form – a day overview, quick rescheduling, client notes and visit history. Without it, staff go back to the paper diary and the system stops reflecting reality.
We built booking logic like this for the tyre service in the Prezuj.sk project.
Frequently asked questions
Can bookings connect to our staff calendars?
Yes, in both directions. A booking is written into the company calendar, and conversely a staff member's private event blocks the slot in the booking system. That prevents customers from taking a time when the person is not actually available.
How do you handle last-minute cancellations?
The system frees the slot immediately and, depending on configuration, can offer it to people on a waiting list. For repeated no-shows, booking confirmation or a deposit can be introduced – we can add either according to your rules.
